For three days in May, Br. Ray Morris, Br. Austin Riordan and Br. Martin Buganski were joined by eight men, including missionaries from Saint Paul’s Outreach, on a vocations discernment mission trip to Agua Prieta, Mexico. Working with local charitable organization Rancho Feliz, our group finished five homes for families in need. We began each day by praying the Liturgy of the Hours, followed by a reflection from someone in our group, and finished with a time of personal prayer. Then it was off to a day filled with cement, sheetrock and brotherhood!
Faith in Action
Our Young Adult Group at St. Lawrence Newman Center in Minneapolis has been blessed with committed and spirit-filled leaders (shown here). These young professionals inspire other young adults and grad students in their walk with the Lord by encouraging each other through peer-lead faith formation and fellowship. This is exemplified by their service to the parish, to one another and to those they encounter throughout their day. “Our young adults are spiritually mature,” said Br. Gary Davis, who serves as the Parish Life Coordinator. “They know the faith, love the Lord and love the Church.”
On the Front Lines
Navy Seal Chip Evans inspired over 80 men at our Men’s Night at our FSU outreach this spring. His zeal, wisdom and courageous stories captivated the guys for over three hours. And the blessing was mutual. “I think of all those in attendance last night, it may have been me who got the most of it,” said Chip. “The Brothers are truly warriors on a lifelong mission.” Since the evening was so fruitful, we are planning more inspirational Navy Seal nights with Chip for our students.
