In perpetual vows, a Brother gives his whole life to Jesus Christ through poverty, chastity, and obedience, promising to live this vocation permanently in the Brotherhood of Hope for the service of the Church.

Jubilee of Saint Francis Indulgence
Pope Leo XIV has declared this year the Jubilee of Saint Francis, marking the 800th year since Saint Francis’ death on October 3, 1226. A plenary indulgence is available under the usual conditions: sacramental confession, Eucharistic communion, and prayer for the intentions of the Holy Father.
Because the Cathedral of Saint Francis is one such church, the faithful who go to Confession, spend time in prayer at the Cathedral, and attend the Perpetual Vows may receive the plenary indulgence. Confession details will be shared when confirmed.
The decree extends this grace to the Franciscan family and to all the faithful who visit a Franciscan church or place of worship in a spirit of pilgrimage, prayer, charity, harmony, and peace.
