Our Brotherhood is Growing

On July 11, Br. Joseph and Br. Brennan professed perpetual vows to the Brotherhood of Hope. 

“Final vows for religious life is a very rare, unique, and powerful big event,” says Br. Brandt. In the midst of this joyous celebration, the Brothers invited a group of 12 young men to join them for a “Backstage Pass” to all the events of the weekend. 

Br. Brandt offered this experience as spiritual food for these young men to ponder for the future.

“Whenever we see someone do anything generous and heroic, it inspires us to want to do the same. This is true of the saints, and of these Brothers who took their vows. No matter our vocation, he’s calling us all to generosity.” 

Br. Thomas, one of our new novices, reflected on his experience that weekend: 

“It is so helpful to have other guys in similar shoes share and walk with you–to realize you’re not alone in giving something as crazy as religious life a shot.”

“The Brothers have been really generous in investing in us and helping us be in a position to hear God’s voice. This weekend renewed my confidence in the Lord and my willingness to give Him a full yes in everything.”
