Bartimaeus – What Do You Seek?

Bartimaeus – sitting blindly by the side of the road,
Listening to life pass by – but you were alert,
You held Hope alive in your heart.
Eager Faith, biding its time, waiting expectantly.
Then the day came – Jesus is passing by,
Your heart stirs, you cry out;
“Jesus, Have pity on me!”
This is the day, no one will silence you.
Hope born through years of darkness.
Faith ready to be revealed –
“Jesus, Have pity on me!”
Jesus calls you to Him –
You jump up eagerly, leaving all behind
You draw near, still in darkness but you feel His presence.
He asks you; “What do you Seek?”
The cry and longing of many years comes out;
“Lord. I want to see.”
“Be opened”
And behold – my eyes are opened
They behold a face – smiling, laughing, joyful
Eyes sparkling with Love & Joy
Jesus – Light, Radiance
As I look around, all I see is bathed in the light and
radiance Flowing from Jesus’ eyes and Countenance
Sight:
Behold, All is new – colors, trees dancing for joy, clouds, water
I have heard the wind – but now I see its effect – Wow!
I have felt the Sun – but now I see its splendor and dancing shadows
Jesus laughs with Joy.
I follow Him.
